Rebecca graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Studies and Sociology and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. While completing her degrees Rebecca was awarded the University of Auckland Chancellor's Award for Top Scholars, Robert Chapman Prize in Political Studies and First in Course Award. Rebecca was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2014. Rebecca joined McVeagh Fleming in 2017. Prior to McVeagh Fleming, Rebecca had a varied experience in two large firms in the Auckland CBD working in property and commercial areas as well as employment and civil litigation. Rebecca appeared in the High Court on multiple occasions. At McVeagh Fleming, Rebecca focusses mainly on relationship property, trust and estate litigation and family law.
Outside of work Rebecca is a fitness enthusiast who has competed and placed in local and national bodybuilding competitions and is an avid CrossFitter. When she is not training, Rebecca enjoys volunteering and working with children, spending time with family and friends and travelling.
